What is the difference between Sold STC (Sold subject to contract) and Under Offer? These actually mean the same thing, it just depends on which phrase your estate agent prefers to use. If a property is marked as Sold STC or Under Offer, it means that an offer has been made and accepted, however the paperwork is not yet complete. Under Offer may also be used by some estate agents when an offer has been made on a property but it has not yet been accepted. You may still make enquiries about Sold STC or Under Offer properties.
When a new build property is marked as reserved, this means that a homebuyer has paid a reservation fee towards it. From the date this fee has been paid, there is usually a 28 day period in which to exchange contract (depending on the developer). If this doesn’t happen, the property becomes available again.
